Dual-Deck MP3/CD Gets Clean, Modern Looks for 2009

Cumberland, R.I. (April 1, 2009) – Numark, the world’s leading manufacturer of DJ technology, announces that its MP302 dual-MP3/CD player has been updated for 2009. The updated MP302 will make its debut in Numark's stand, B 21 in Hall 5.0 at Musikmesse, April 1 - 4, 2009. Held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, Musikmesse is the world's largest fair for musical instruments, live music and the music business.

MP302 is a highly reliable, dual-deck MP3/CD player. DJs will enjoy performance features, easy operation and rock-solid reliability. With advanced functions like seamless looping on both decks for CD and MP3, Fader Start and the security of Anti-Shock™, MP302 is a perfect player for mobile DJs working events and fixed installs in clubs, bars, restaurants and more.

MP302 enables DJs to play all of their CDs and MP3 CDs to save on transport weight. The player displays text for ID3 tags and folder names so DJs will find navigation easy. They can quickly access both the track they want and the point in the track on MP302’s easy-to-use jog/shuttle wheels. The wheels are also helpful for controlling pitch bend. DJs can pitch tracks up and down on 8 and 16-percent scales for easy beat matching. They can create and integrate seamless loops with CDs and MP3s on MP302.

In addition to standard single-track and continuous playback, MP302's programmable playback mode enables DJs to set up a sequence of tracks for convenient playback. They can set cue points in real time for creative performance.

MP302 also has Fader Start, which can automatically start cued-up playback when the DJ moves the crossfader on a compatible mixer. The CD drives work on a tray-loading system that plays full-sized and miniature CDs. From the company that introduced DJs to Anti-Shock™, MP302 contains a built-in buffer for worry-free and skip-free performance.


MP302 is built in an attractive, rack-mount package that is equally at home in angled and straight racks. DJs can mount the control and drive units together or separately for setup flexibility. It plays CD and CD-R discs for media convenience, and the CD player is housed in an all-metal chassis for rugged, reliable performance.
